Toulouse, Not What I Expected From France

I have to admit, I came to France with a preconceived stereotype of the people we would meet.  Maybe I have watched too many movies, maybe I formed it 30 years ago when I visited Paris. A Photo Tour of the Medieval Town of Pals (WW)

This time we headed out to the wonderful medieval town of Pals.  It is only about 30 minutes from our home exchange house in Palamos, Spain.  We are feeling really lucky to live so near the beach and be able to visit such amazing places.  Check out this town, best known as being one of the best preserved Gothic sites in its region of Spain: Did you love the medieval town of Pals as much as I did? Travel Counter: We are in the forth month of our 250 day overseas adventure, and are currently living in a 17th century [Read More]

The narrow streets clearly show what Dubai was like prior to the oil money. Homes were built close together in this way to give shade and to create wind tunnels. Pictures of Bastakiya Even though we didn’t buy much, I really enjoyed the old souqs. Here are a few of our favorite shots: After we were done, hubby negotiated a price for a 30 minute water taxi tour down the river ending [Read More]
