
Palamós is home to a famous fish auction and fish market. Each day the fishing boats leave port and return with their catch. The fisherman put the fish into trays, add a plastic covering and place the ice on top. The bins of fresh fish are brought into a warehouse, where the ice is temporary removed so the fish can be weighed. All information is put into a computer and the bins of fish go out for auction.
