We did it! Thirteen year old Sarah and I are both NaNoWriMo winners!
What does it mean to win? NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month. The goal is to complete a 50,000 word draft of your book during the month of November – and successfully completing it means you win. The last time I checked there were 307,144 participants worldwide.
It is already Friday here in New Zealand, so this post is also my entry at Celebrate the Small Things, the weekly bloghop hosted by Viklit of Scribblings of an Aspiring Author. Join us, it’s fun!
Just gratitude for the support of friends and family as my daughter and I locked ourselves away for the past month to write.
I know it is still Thursday in the States, so Happy Thanksgiving and Thanksgivukkah to all who celebrate. A fresh turkey in New Zealand is very expensive in November as it is only the American expats who want it. So I get to live vicariously through your descriptions.
How is your NaNo going? Have you joined the NaNoWriMo winners or the bloghop? Please tell me what you ate for Thanksgiving dinner?
