We thought about skipping Volubilis as we have been to Pompeii and Ephesus this trip, but lucky for us we made the right choice.  Volubilis is an ancient Roman city in Northern Africa.  While the Romans left it in the 3rd century and earthquake destroyed much of it in later years, the ruins of Volubilis are amazing.

Here are some of my favorite shots of our visit, and for a change the family is in almost all of them:

PS: The blog publishes a bit behind, so this post was written when we were here in Sept.  The real today, Oct 24 is hubby’s birthday :)
