Sometimes I am walking down the street and burst into laughter for no reason. Most often it is because I see something like Sissy Boy.

The Window display of Sissy Boy

Just in case you couldn't read it in the window.
I took these photos in Haarlem, The Netherlands, last week. As I was the only person giggling and taking photos of the shop, I am guessing it has a different meaning in Dutch.

Oh my, I am amazed that any man would want to shop in a store called “Sissy Boy” lol. I would have peed my pants laughing over that store! Then again, I am immature like that lol.

It’s got to or no man in his right mind would shop there.

True, but did you look at the clothes in the window – can’t imagine too many men wearing it.

Hehehehe, happy to return the laughs. I am so often laughing when I stop by BeThere2day.
I imagine most kiwis and Americans would laugh at that too. I have to say the clothes look…well…gay :-/
That was my thought, who would shop there, although I always think of sissy as “wimpy” and whiny.
curious because I am sure its the same meaning in other countries.
happy WW!!

LOL – that’s what I thought when I saw it. “Sissy Boy, that’s not very nice” Then I laughed.
It’s a questionable adjective any way you look at it in the US. What does it mean in Duthc I wonder.

I wonder too, I figure it must mean something else, otherwise who would shop there.
LOL! I can imagine myself laughing at the sight of that! I too, wonder what it means in Dutch. Do they have many shoppers?

I didn’t really take a close look inside, too busy laughing at the outside. But it wasn’t crowded, that’s for sure.
LoL A store for ladyboys?I have heard so much about the liberal society of the netherlands, but this one is really amazing.I couldn’t picture myself that I would see a store like this in my hometown. By the way, I don’t think it has got an other meaning in dutch.

LOL – We did see a guy walking around the streets in orange goat leggings, maybe it does have the same meaning.

I have no idea, but it sure seemed perfect for “laugh-quotes”
You definitely see some fun signs on your travels. I found a few in South America for companies that sell totally different goods in Europe.
