We were told we would fall in love with some of the small towns in Ireland just by driving through and we did.
Check out Adare (a village in County Limerick, Ireland), and you will see why we spent a night here:

Our first view of Adare as we drove into town.

Hubby and I took a romantic stroll on the beautiful grounds of the Adare Manor - no wonder it is so popular for weddings.

This photo was taken by Mic, who we met along the road. He and hubby are both engineers, so the level of geek speak was over my head. But I do love the photo. I want his camera, it makes me look thinner/

St Nicholas Anglican Church

I loved the Irish music, and found it really warm and inviting to have the band at a table like everyone else, rather than up on a stage.

Gotta love it!
What do you think, did we make a good choice?

We were in Adare a week ago, when I wrote and scheduled this blog post. We are currently without internet so please leave comments (I love them) and I will reply next week.

You made a great choice. If you’re going to Dublin be careful with your stuff. Lots of thieves there and I heard that from someone that was born and raised there.
Have a terrific WW.

We have already been, and we left with all our stuff
Yea
Love ll the stone work I guess there was an abundance of rock needing clearing for fields used to make walls to keep out marauders. Yes love that the band is on para with every one else, makes it more like musicians just having fun.
It was pretty fun to have the band at a table. Thanks for stopping by.
Beautiful–I hope to get there one day myself!

Thanks. I was thrilled with that photo too.
Mic the geek here
Glad you like the photo… you both look great.
It’s just the camera on the iPhone, but works great.
Mic.
Thanks again Mic. We love the photo. I can’t remember the camera, but I am really impressed it was an iphone. Maybe I will take more photos using mine and leave the good camera at home.
Yes. I can understand you wanting to stay a night. Lovely photo of you and Jeff too
