Javaboi in the Tropics

A Javaboi Boy in the Tropics

Take a look at this shot of hubby.  Notice anything special?

There’s the obvious he is in Fiji, and everything looks great in the tropics, but look closer.  Clue:

Q. What do you get when you mix coffee and clever t-shirts?
A. Javaboi!

Ok, I will admit, that is not my best riddle, but don’t let that stop you from discovering Javaboi Industries, the brainchild of Eric Anthony Johnson.

Every once in a while a really clever guy comes along and takes something commonplace and turns it into the extraordinary.

That’s Javaboi! (Pronounced Java- Boy)

From the Javaboi Industries website “an eclectic, fresh, and trendy brand for coffee lovers, t shirt connoisseurs, and novelty forward individuals.”

So when Eric offered to send me a shirt to review, how could I say no.  I had a look at the designs and knew I would love any style he selected.  Check out some of this coffee fun:

Everything about Javaboi is fun.  My box arrived surprisingly quickly, and just before we left for Fiji (so into the suitcase went a new shirt).  The fun started when I opened the box and found that each shirt was individually packed in a coffee bag.  Check out this awesomeness:

Coffee bags

Inside each coffee bag is a t-shirt and a Javaboi badge (pin).  Accessories are so much fun!

embroidered javaboiAs for the shirts, great quality, 100% cotton and printed in USA.  A nice touch, the Javaboi label on the back at the neckline is embroidered.

The designs on the front are clear and vivid. And, something that is important to me, they hold up in the wash.

As for sizing, well here is where I made my mistake.  When Eric asked me my size, I proudly told him that I had lost a bit of weight and was now a large (I like t-shirts with a bit of extra room).  Silly me, I was thinking unisex sizing.

Had I bothered to look at Javaboi’s easy to read size chart, I would have seen that his women’s sizes are quite a bit smaller than the men’s sizes and I might want a women’s 2XL (or a better diet). But no worries, I quickly grabbed one of the two he sent in hubby’s size (yes, I can wear a men’s medium) and the girls happily each poached one of the women’s designs.  So, now we are a Javaboi family.

We are a Javaboi Family!

Personally, I think my favorite is the logo shirt with that giant coffee mug.  I love the shoes, the smile, and the colors in the women’s shirt are just perfect.  (Of course it will be quite a while before I am small enough to fit into it, and I look great in black – so hubby, watch out – I may make off with your shirt).

Taking another line from the Javaboi Webpage, “Javaboi Industries Ingredients : Cool T Shirts, Funny T Shirts, Mixed with Coffee T Shirts result Cute Coffee Awesomeness! The best Gifts for Coffee Lovers everywhere.”

I couldn’t agree more.

So, the bottom line (except for the legal stuff) – Javaboi t-shirts are fantastic and I recommend them.  Shopping is easy as they accept Paypal (and credit cards). So what are you waiting for, check them out at: Javaboi Industries. And don’t forget to follow Javaboi Industries on Facebook.

Which is your favorite Javaboi shirt?
